Running Neevia as a Service¶

Please follow the indications on the document of the converter at \\cern.ch\dfs\Services\conversion\Software\Neevia\6.8\dcpro.pdf page 71. Please notice that the local admin account (MACHINE\dconverter) should be the one used to install the converter software and the applications to reduce problems with the COM permissions.

UPDATE: running as a service has a severe inconvenient as parsers timeout looks fixed to about 10minutes. Therefore we avoid using Neevia as a service. Similar funcionality will be achieved using windows schedule task.

Setting parsers¶

First install the application for example: Ms Word. Once installed go to DConverter -> advanced settings and check the application's parser and click auto-detect as in:
